10:00 am - 3:30:  Danze Orientale

From proper posture and styling with the correct music, to framing and embellishments, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Danze Orientale and how to integrate it into your own signature style.  Learn quick step sequences and choreographed zill/finger cymbal combinations!  Bring your zills!  Zills will also be available for purchase at the workshop.

10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.:   Early Bal Anat & Ethnic Style Dance - Aziz Style!

Drawing on his experience from the 1970’s as a member of Jamila Salimpour’s troupe, Bal Anat, learn  the original moves that shaped the face (and hips!) of American Bellydance, including  firey spins and exciting turns while travelling or turning in place.  Bring your zills!
